Evaluating user behavior by using ERP Tool and Simulation Based Learning Technique in Pakistan

ABSTRACT

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a software based tool used by large organizations, to complete their business work flow in combination with integrating information and business processes. Around the globe different enterprises are using ERP systems; more specifically in Pakistan there is rapid adaptation of multiple mid-size organizations that are moving towards ERP. While implementation of ERP system; the most challenging portion is its training. An organization devotes huge amount of their budget for ERP trainings. Different techniques of ERP trainings have been used by the experts to help the users to understand the system in an efficient manner. The tool based or conventional based ERP training technique enable users to work on the tool directly whereas Simulation based training relies on the simulation. In this paper authors performed experiment on both tool and simulation based techniques in Pakistan to determine users’ behavior including performance expectancy, attitude towards ERP system and their learning experience. This comparative analysis and results will help the trainers to train the users in a conducive way.
