Abstract

As the educational landscape evolves, more and more institutions are integrating virtual reality into the classroom. Older technologies such as avatars have been replaced by newer technologies, including but not limited to holograms. Most educators recognize the benefits that virtual reality offers. However, more research is needed to better understand students’ perspectives on the use of the technology.

In a 2018 study, 60 students were surveyed to determine whether students the technology should be used in education and whether it could be used to improve student learning outcomes. The results indicate that approximately 87% (86.6%) of respondents believe that holograms can be used in business education and most respondents believed that holograms could be used to improve student-learning outcomes.

Keywords: Holograms, holographic instruction, educational innovation
